Definition Synchronous Learning is the kind of learning that happens in real time. This means that you and your classmates interact with your instructor in a specific virtual place, through a specific online medium, at a specific time.   Asynchronous Learning is the type of instruction and learning that does not occur in the same place or at the same time for you and your classmates. It uses resources that shares information outside the constraints of a time and virtual place with your instructor.
Example Daily live interactions with your teacher for the purposes of instruction, progress monitoring, and maintaining school connectedness. This may include live video, live audio, live chat to name a few.   Daily independent activities without your teacher for the purposes of review, practice, enrichments, and daily progress monitoring. This may include participation in online activities, completion and submit of a regular assignments, previewing a lesson and taking notes, or completion of assessments to name a few.
