Tyler Richardson is a 7th-year teacher at Paloma Valley High School in Menifee, CA, and received his Masters in Music Education from Central Washington University. 

Mr. Richardson has performed across the world with world class musicians and professional artists. He has performed in France, Switzerland, Spain, and across the US, participating in notable venues such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Luxembourg Gardens, the Reno Jazz Festival, SCSBOA, WBA, BOA Grand Nationals in Indiana, and BOA championships in New Mexico and Nevada. He has performed lead trumpet under artists and renowned conductors such as Doc Severinsen, B.B. King, Joseph Alessi, Larry Livingston, Bill Waltrus, Frank Ticheli, Robert W. Smith, Jose Hernandez of Mariachi Sol De Mexico, Bobby Shew, as well as Peter Boonshaft. 

His responsibilities at Paloma Valley High School include directing the concert band, wind ensemble, marching band, jazz band, percussion ensemble, color guard, the school musical pit orchestra, supervising all additional performing ensembles, developing the curriculum for all instrumental music courses, and supervising the development of a student leadership program.  Groups under his direction have placed 1st in select SCSBOA and WGASC competitions, as well as received superior ratings in both literature and sight reading at performance festivals.
