My name is Velma Borrows and I have been teaching at Perris High School for 21 years. I love teaching. During my very thrilling and rewarding years at Perris High I have taught Biology, Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Algegra, Geometry, Medical Terminology, Medical Assisting Administrative, Medical Assisting Clinical, Medical Office Operation, Medical Assisting Occupation Internship and Sport Medicine. I will continue to teach Chemisty and the Medical Assisting Courses this year.
I have a bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology form the College of Arts Science and Technology in Jamaica, a bachelor degree in Biology and Foods and Nutirtion/Dietetic from California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB), a master's degree in Health Services Administration from CSUSB and a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Baptist University. I am currently a doctoral student in Business Adminstration with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration.
I am a proud reciepient of the 2017 CSBA Golden Bell Award for the Medical Assisting Program at Perris High.
My science credentials are in Biologicial Science and Chemistry and my CTE credential is in Health Science and Medical Technology.
I am looking forward to a very productive and inspirational year with parents and students this year.
