Hello, and welcome to THE HERD!

My name is Mrs. Rizzo and this is my 23rd year teaching brilliant young scholars. I teach AP Psychology and work with students who are continuing to develop their English language skills. My goals are to establish a safe environment and foster a love for learning in our classroom and beyond. I believe all students with a positive mindset and strong work ethic have the power to achieve their goals; and I look forward to supporting them along their journey. On a personal note, I enjoy reading, hiking and eating; but not necessarily in that order. 😉 My husband and I have three children. My son recently graduated from Northumbria University in Newcastle, England, and my oldest daughter is a junior who currently studies forensic psychology at George Mason University in Virginia. Our youngest daughter, who was a junior at Liberty HS, recently passed away in an accident. As devastating as this has been, we are dedicated to honoring her memory by working through our grief and "showing up" just as she would. #LLG17💙
