Hello

My name is Mr. Holzer, your Algebra 1 or Geometry teacher for the school year 2021-2022. Even though I have taught at Paloma Valley High since the fall of 2002, this will be start of my 31st year of teaching mathematics where a bulk of my teaching career has been teaching Geometry. 

I am married  to my wife Collette for 28 years and we have been blessed to have four daughters and now twin grandsons who were born in April, 2021 to our oldest daughter Rebecca who lives in Acton, CA. Our second oldest, Katie, is married and lives in New Zealand while our 3rd and 4th daughters, Audra and Danielle,  live at home while they continue to work and attend MSJC. Our youngest daughter, Danielle, finished her CNA program from MSJC at the end of May.  She will continue to work and pursue higher medical degrees.  

I will be using CANVAS for my platform for students to access information, assignments, lessons, etc. If you click this link it will take you to my page: https://puhsd.instructure.com/courses/16281 Our Pearson textbooks (Geometry will be an orange textbook and Algebra 1 will be teal for the hardcopy version) that is also available online.  In addition Pearson has an online component called Math XL.  Recently the Pearson company changed their name to Savvas so look for the Savvas Realize icon under classlink to access things.
