My name is Kristy Wakeman and I am excited to have your student in my class this year.  I have taught all levels of English throughout my career, but have really settled in with sophomore English for the last 10 years.  I  spent 5 years as an instructional ELA coach in the district as well.

I am also a busy "sports mom" and usually have a stack of essays with me at most sports practices! I love to go camping with my family, reading, and hanging out at the beach. I understand the anxiety that this school year is causing, as I feel it myself and see it in my own kids. I know this last year and a half has been a chaotic experience for everyone and I will work hard to provide my students with the best possible learning experience!  I'm looking forward to this year! 😀
