WELCOME TO THE 2022- 2023 SCHOOL YEAR!   

My name is Laura Schoenfelder. This will be my 23rd year of teaching and my 1st at Perris High School. I received a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and a Master of Education in English from California Baptist University. Currently, I teach Academic English Elective II, Intensive English, and Restart English I.

I am excited to make this transition to high school after teaching in middle school for over 17 yrs. It is my hope that you will commit to giving your all and seeking assistance when necessary. Although this year may be different after learning online and then transitioning back to a traditional setting, just know that I will be there for you every step of the way to encourage you through it all. Every new experience is an opportunity to progress. 

I use Google Classroom (until September)  as the main learning management system. I will be transitioning over to Canvas in September and will update this page to reflect any changes.You may check my website for my agendas, daily lessons, contact information, syllabus, and class resources.
