--------------------------------------------

It's my tenth year of teaching French at Heritage High School!  Education is my second career.  Prior to teaching, for eight years I lived and worked in Marseille, France as an international event planner for an American company.

How did an American from SoCal end up working in France?  I took French in high school!

After college, I was working for a company in San Diego with +1000 employees. They needed help in their European headquarters, located in the south of France. I was the only one in the entire company with familiarity of the French language so I was selected to accompany the vice president there.  My time in France with this company lasted eight years.

Life lesson: Have aspirations to live, work, travel in Europe and/or Africa?   Join our amazing community and take French! :)
