👋 ᴇᴠᴇʀʏᴏɴᴇ! My name is La Dawn Johnson. I am a Social Studies teacher and have been in the district for 12 years and 6 years at Heritage High. I am currently teaching Criminology ⓐⓝⓓ Youth & Law. I am a former Juvenile Probation Officer with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree in Secondary Education.

I am an advocate for my students. I believe in empowering my students to strive for the better and enhancing their voices to become advocates for themselves as well as for others. 

I am also Co-advisor for BSU (Black Student Union) as well as an AAPAC (African American Parent Advisory Council) representative. 

I will be utilizing Google Classroom to post announcements, assignments, quiz/tests and lectures.
