歡迎!Welcome to Mrs. Donnelson Homepage!   IMG_0180.JPG

I’m very excited to be your teacher and look forward to working with you this year. Thanks for the opportunity of introducing and teaching your students of Chinese language and culture.

I studied and attained my Bachelor Degree in Chinese Literature in National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. I had an opportunity of teaching Chinese to foreign students while in college.

After I completed and attained my teaching credential, I taught Chinese Language Art and Social Studies in a high school in Taiwan for 2 years. After I moved to the United States with my husband, I started teaching at Choice 2000 in 1999 in the Perris Union High School District, then at CMI in 2013. I’m certified to teach Mandarin Chinese and Social Studies. I developed and implemented the Chinese program in the PUHSD since 2010. As of now there are 3 years of Chinese program from Chinese 1, Chinese 2, and Chinese 3

Please Refer to Canvas to access to ALL the course information and work. Please get into the routine of checking your Canvas class on Monday mornings and possible daily to see what will be required of you during that week. If absent this is where students should look to see what they missed and what needed to make up. Please check the information about the course work from Daily Objectives under Weekly Lessons.

You'll need to use Quizlet to set up study sets to help you study and practice vocabulary and use Screencastify or Canvas Media Recording to record your speaking.

Please email me with any questions at

Thank you and nice to meet everyone!
