Daniel has been teaching chemistry since 2011 and has been with PUHSD since 2014. He obtained his bachelor's from California State University, Fresno in 2010 and earned his Master's from Grand Canyon University in 2018. He completed research projects at CSU, Fresno, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo , and NASA. Those projects involved cell timed death, probiotics, and radiation affects on electronics.
Mr. Ruiz has held various positions within the district: Science Department Chair, Site Safety Coordinator, School Site Counsel, WASC Leadership Team, and served as a Master Teacher for multiple individuals entering the profession. At this time Mr. Ruiz enjoys and values his time being an assistant coach for a highly successful girls varsity soccer team and advises various on campus clubs.
