Hello,
This is Ms. Young.
I will be teaching ninth and tenth-grade English at Paloma Valley High School this year. I will be using Canvas as my platform this year.
This year begins my 24th year in the district.
I began working for Perris Union High School District in 1999.
I have taught at Paloma, The Academy, Perris Lake High School, Scholarplus Online Learning Academy, and Perris Community Adult School.
I am primarily an English teacher but I have also taught a variety of subjects over the years in the district. I have taught grades 7-12 and adult education. I love my job and I love working with the young people in our district. I have a single-subject credential in English and a multiple-subject credential too.
Feel free to email me if you have any questions. dyanna.young@puhsd.org
Students will be expected to turn work in on time. Late work will be deducted 11% per day it will not be accepted if it is over a week late. Students who get in the habit of procrastinating, tend to have more difficulty passing their classes. Please see the sub-page for the syllabi for the classes I am teaching.
Please make sure you check grades and attendance regularly in Infinite Campus. If you do not know how to access Infinite Campus, please contact your student's counselor.
Please work with your student to become an observer in their Canvas platform classes. You only need to do this once to access all of their Canvas classes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZVzO0mxanQ
