About Me:

Hello! My name is Julie-Anne Agapito. You can call me Ms. Agapito (ah-gah-pee-toe) or Ms. A. This is my 3rd year at Paloma Valley as a math teacher. I've been a part of PUHSD as an AVID Tutor and Substitute (at Pinacate MS) since I was in school and graduated from Paloma in 2010. I've actually had some of the same teachers that you/your student had/have/will have in the future, which shows how great it is to be a part of Paloma Valley HS! I have a bachelor's from CSU San Marcos and a teaching credential from Cal Poly Pomona.

To add some more personality to me, I love watching sports, especially basketball (Go Lakers!) and hockey (Go Knights Go!). When able to, I like going to Disneyland, rocking out at music concerts, and traveling around the world! I'm a casual stargazer and I enjoy watching the moon. Also, I love Boy Meets World and have lucked out on having great teachers similar to Mr. Feeny to help guide me in life and eventually leading to a career in education.

Something that I hope to instill in our students is a love of trying, learning, and growing as a person and a student

Overview:

All students will access all class content using their PUHSD student emails for Canvas and will need to REGULARLY communicate, participate, turn in assignments promptly, and meet rigorous academic expectations to pass the course successfully.

• Students will be required to take notes on all instructional media in order to be successful.

• In addition, students must complete all homework and spend time studying to ensure they master the content.

• Parents and students are encouraged to monitor grades and progress in Infinite Campus (IC).

I will be using Canvas as the Learning Management System for my classes.
